Road geogrid
Geogrids are special structures that allow for the interaction of mesh and large stone aggregate. They are used to stabilize the ground of road embankments, protective bunds and upper and lower layers of road pavement subgrade.They are used to extend the life of a given surface. Grids are divided into one-way and two-way.
Types of geogrids and their use
We produce glass, glass-carbon grids and composites.
The main cause of pavement cracking is high traffic intensity and temperature changes. Thanks to the use of Drog Glass grids, tensile stresses in asphalt layers can be effectively reduced, thereby significantly increasing the life of the pavement.
Drog Glass grids are characterized by:
- high level of stiffness
- high elasticity modulus
- small elongation
- resistance to high temperatures.
Use the Drog Glass grid to:
- prevent the formation of ruts and permanent deformations of bituminous pavements
- prevent reflective cracking
- minimize fatigue cracking
- postpone the need for complete reconstruction.
Our road grids are manufactured in accordance with EN-15381 standard and certificate of conformity of manufacturing quality control 1488-CPR-0194/Z issued by the Institute of Building Technology in Warsaw.
It is possible to order Drog Glass grids in different roll widths.
